David Krauss explains how we can find our way to a beautiful sound through creating resistance with the tongue. He talks about breathing, how to engage the chops without overthinking, and shares a bending exercise that can help you find the center of your sound.
Flow Studies
Using the Cichowicz Flow Studies and diminished arpeggios, David explains how to practice for a consistent, singing, resonant sound when moving up and down the instrument.
Legato Studies (Arban)
David uses slurring studies from Arban to illustrate flow, legato, and basic flexibility over wider intervals.
Flexibility
